Meetings and Outings
The Society meets on the first Monday of each month (except January 2012) from October to April at Richmond Hall, off Richmond Avenue, Benfleet (see location map). There is adequate parking adjacent to the Hall.
The Meetings start at 8pm (except 5th December 2011 when it is 7.30pm)
Our Programme for the 2011/2012 season is as follows:-
- October 3rd - Rayleigh Through the Looking Glass by Mike Davies
- November 7th - Stow Maries Aerodrome by Ivor Dallinger
- December 5th - Christmas Party (7.30pm start)
- January 9th - Interesting Stories from the Great War by Phil Fulton
- February 6th - AGM and Members' talks
- March 5th - What the Dickens by Jeff Page
- April 2nd - Retail - the Story Retold by Ann Hardy
Membership is £5.00 per year. Visitors are welcome at any of the Meetings. The charge for non-members is £2.00 per meeting.
The Outings to places of interest during the summer months are usually announced at the AGM and members can sign up for these at that Meeting.
